To be accurate, mine is a Korean-Skincare-Specific persuasion….
No one does skincare better (or spends more money on R & D) than Korea. Korean women have officially usurped the French as the ruling class of skincare experts. So why not learn from the best?
Over the next two weeks, I’ll be adding four new products into my morning and evening beauty routine – beginning with Cremorlab Mineral Essence – and reporting back on my experience.Korean women swear by their “essences” and a quick google or Pinterest search will show you, there’s an essence to address every possible skincare challenge you’re trying to address. It’s completely overwhelming.
But time and time again, Cremorlab Mineral Essence was recommended as an all-around favorable (obsessed-about, actually) essence for a broad-range of skin types, so I’m giving it a try.
My skin is oily and acne-prone. My acne products can dry out my skin and when this happens, I end up with a dichotomous complexion that is both oily and flaky/dry. It’s maddening.
Cremorlab – a clear liquid solution used after your toner – promises to bring harmony to my complexion by addressing the Ph balance of my skin at a deep level, eliminating my pores’ need to produce extra oil to combat the drying effect of my acne-fighting products. After a couple of days, I can’t say for sure that it’s achieving this objective (I’m still very oily – but not at all flaky), I am beginning to see what the fuss is all about. The glossy (not oily), dewy, fresh quality of my skin after using this essence is like something out of my complexion dreams. It’s PERFECT. If I could keep it looking exactly the way it does in that moment for the whole day, I would never wear a stitch of makeup, ever.
So I’m definitely excited to continue using and testing this product. Millions of women can’t be wrong, right? I can already say that the question is not whether or not this is a good product, but rather “is this the best essence for me and my skin?” I’ll let you know!
(Stay tuned in the weeks ahead when I layout my entire beauty routine from start to finish and how I’m incorporating a few Korean products into my current routine.)
