After realizing my running wardrobe was in need of a major refresh, I headed over to Athleta last week.
Staying motivated to workout is hard enough. Wearing something I feel great in eliminates one more reason to skip my morning run and puts a little spring in my step.
When I run in the mornings, it’s still chilly, even on our hot and sunny Southern California days. But I hate the feel of bulky sweatshirts when I run, so I’m always on the lookout for lightweight, long-sleeved tops that I can whip off and tie easily around my waist without stopping. This twist back top totally delivers and it’s super cute, too, so if I end up wearing it a few hours after I’ve finished my run (I admit it – it happens!), I know it looks chic, not sloppy.
And as much as I love black everything when it comes to running and working out, it’s fun to fold in some bright colors, like this coral colored sports bra and the fun pattern in the tights.
Next to a fabulous playlist, nothing keeps me motivated to keep running like a great running outfit that’s stylish, fits comfortably, and has all the moisture-wicking technology we’ve come to expect from our workout clothes.
